My friend Dan recommended Bumble Bee's as a great, easy place for high quality Mexican food - especially fish tacos. We took his advice and gave it a shot. This was another late lunch so, as we weren't starving, we each got just one taco, one fish and one chicken. Both were very tasty and loaded up with good stuff, NOT rice. A trip to the salsa bar (very cool) helped us get the flavoring just right and we had a very tasty afternoon snack. They have a nice selection of bottled beers there as well, so I enjoyed a Dos Equis as well. Not too shabby for "fast food", right? It was a touch expensive - almost $15 for two tacos and a beer. It was worth the experience but I don't think we'll go out of our way next time we're in town.

Used to be great. Then they changed their format. They dropped the prices on the burritos and other stuff, but took away the salsa and chip bar (which was the best part) and now charge for both. Total cost to us increased with this change, especially if we wanted any of their excellent salsa (we prefer the habanero). Good veggie options, can't comment on any of the meat options as I've never had them. Since their format change, we've been only twice in the last two years or so. We used to go there quite often. Too bad...bring back the old format and we'll return, I promise!

Do you like chicken? How about beef or fish? Then you should make a point to stop at Bumble Bee's. It's awesome. Damn near everything i've had there has been a winner. The ingredients are fresh and tasty along with plentiful in their portions. Sure it's a little on the pricy side for a burrito or a plate of chicken, but don't let the sticker shock stop you from enjoying some of the best, fast-ish food that Santa Fe has to offer. For those of you that have a mad on for large companies, then don't sweat it. Bumble Bee's is a small local company that only has a handful of locations, and they're all in Santa Fe or Albuquerque. As for those of you that could give a damn about business practices and just want a fine burrito, then you should make the effort to check this place out. Personally I think it's tough to go wrong with any of their burritos. They are all, colossal and completely worthy of your chewing effort. I defy any of you to walk into the restaurant, see the chicken on the rotisserie, and not yearn for some sweet salty pollo. The chicken isn't the only thing that's kick ass on the menu. The "Tito burrito" with fish is outstanding! Griddle seared tilapia with sour cream, rice and a whole bunch of other bits, makes for some tasty eats. So in short, grab your crew, get a burrito and make sure to tip at the counter 'cause there's no waiters to distract you from all the awesomeness. P.S. They've got beer!

After reading a Yelp review from a vegan-option search, we went to Bumble Bee's on a beautiful sunny day for lunch. We are always happy when a place actually has the word vegan on the menu as this takes some of the guesswork out of the equation. We were so thrilled to order the vegan chicken tortilla soup and loved that even though it's an order at the counter, fast-food type, we could still order a beer to enjoy while we waited. The soup was so amazing I think even a meat fan would love it. It was colorful and fresh. Someone even stopped at our table and commented on how beautiful it was and asked what we were having. I saw they had rotisserie chickens and ordered one to go for my meat-loving son. The owner, Bumble Bee Bob, walks around and greets guest and when I inquired about buying the chicken, he said "sure!" Then he GAVE me one and thanked us for stopping in. Unbelievable, I should also mention they have a build-your-own burrito and burger with fantastic options! We will be back for sure to this fresh gem.

Hungry for some quick Mexican food. Disappointed..... First they charge you for chips and salsa. WTF!?!? I don't know where you are from, but it's Mexican food! If you go to a BBQ joint do they charge you for bread and Bbq sauce? Hell no! They dropped a star for that. My partner had a shrimp and a fish taco. Not amazing (yes I know we are in new mexico, but still....). The sauce was watery and bland. The avocados on top had no flavor.... I ordered the Plato de pollo, where they had five rotisserie chicken, but they told me they only have one dry one left (again, wtf?!?). So I said no problem, give me some green chili. So I had my dry chicken and green chili. Bland. Needed salt. Didn't help. The rice and beans also had no flavor.... When I paid, their credit card system was down too. All in all, not flavorful food. They charge you for chips and salsa. Not exactly accommodating or great service. Stay away...

Great vegan options! They sadly don't have any specialty vegan stuff, such as vegan sour cream, but it doesn't even matter! I get the bean and rice burrito and the guacamole and roasted tomato salsa inside it make it juicy and flavorful and amazing. They also have vegan menu items! A specifically vegan burrito and a tortilla burger which I am frantic to try. Also they have tofu in the kitchen, if you want that extra bulk to your meal. You get an option for wheat tortilla and brown rice! Some things are oddly pricey. Adding guacamole to something can cost $1.50! But my burrito meal always seems well worth the price. The salsa bar is gone, which is definitely a drag, but I get it. God knows I used to take advantage of it. They now have lots of beer and wine available as well.

Okay, this isn't Taco Bell and that's a good thing. I don't consider this "fast food" because I think of fast food as cheap, greasy, unhealthy and quick. That is not this. Bumble Bee is yummy, fresh and high quality. I had the fish taco (fabulous! yum!), chips and salsas. I got my order quickly and the taco was full of fish and avocado! Delicious! The salsas were tasty and the fresh watermelon juice was so perfect on a hot summer Santa Fe day! The prices are cheaper than some sit-down Mexican restaurants and the quality and freshness are quite a bit better. Check out Bumblebees!

We're from California and liked this place a lot! Great veggie burritos-- try the Tito with avo, basil and cabbage and the Tomas with asparagus avo and cheese. Que bueno! I didn't try the meat but they have a lamb option that sounds divine.

Clare M.
Not so shabby. It's better than Felipes Tacos and on the cheaper side for Santa Fe, however, for beans and rice it's kinda pricey. I do recommend the place because it is clean (unlike Baja) and they actually have fish and shrimp tacos. They have beer, free chips and salsa and a nice little patio at the Guadalupe location.

A well thought out, seriously delicious fast food, (meaning it was made fast), eatery. Roasted chicken, broasted lamb, carnitas, it goes on and on in a self-serve atmosphere. Serve yourself chips and roasted chipotle/tomato salsa, pick up your own cloth napkins and silverware. They bring the food to your table. The rice was a bit dry, but the mahi mahi fish tacos were super fresh and grilled to order. The seating feels a little cafeteria, and the prices are not cheap by any means, but you will not find a better example of tasty and truly authentic Mexican food done well for the masses. $22 for 3 tacos and 2 drinks, plus beans and rice, chips & salsa but worth it . I hear it is packed for lunch and dinner and I can see why. As Arnold says, "I will be back".

This place is so close to my house, I find myself there all the time (downtown drive through.) They say it's the world's slowest fast food, but it is seriously yummy. They're famous for their fish tacos, but I find the Norte Chicken burrito is awesome, as well as the salads. Lots of great alternatives for our vegetarian friends. My go-to place when I realize it's too late to cook dinner. Go there.

This place reminds me of the good independent baja mexican places you can find throughout San Diego. Excellent fish tacos!! Pay at the counter, take your number, get some salsa in the back, find your seat. And if you're lucky like we were, the food will be following you to your table. Yummy fish tacos, good sides, good salsa. Definitely a fine choice for a fast meal. And they have drive through, too, if you want it even faster! There's also one in Albuquerque, if you head to the Nob Hill area near UNM.

Fresh food, locally owned--great premise for this place. They seem to offer a lot when you look at the menu and also see the number of drinks in the cooler. However, that began to erode a bit when I ordered the trout filet, which according to the menu, is "boneless, char grilled trout, garnished with guacamole, pico de gallo and toasted pumpkin seeds, served with beans and rice." So there's a choice available of the beans, whether you want pinto or black. But Bumblebee's had run out of the trout, so they asked if it was ok to substitute mahi mahi, which they made known to me after I had paid for my order already. So ok, I'm still good with that. But what did come out was this rather small platter of food for $10+? Although I did think the flavors are good and fresh, yeah, for that I can only say it's barely eeking out 3 stars. Very odd place in that they also claim to have "the world's slowest drive through," and there seems to be an identity crisis between takeout/fast food and sit down, in that if you dine in, you get cloth napkins and real silverwear that you pick up yourself. But you still can get it all bagged to go. Not so sure I'll visit again.

Woah, $12 for a bean and rice burrito with pico de gallo and a large Iced Tea? No really, you're kidding me!?!? See If I ever go HERE again.

Place serves breakfast lunch and dinner. This places does close around 8p.m. The food is reasonably prices. The fish tacos are apparently good. The salsa bar was awesome and clean. You could also get as many chips and salsa as you want. I had the nachos which were alot for what I paid for. My husband had the pork bowel which was very flavorful and the salsa gave it a bonus kick. This place is everything we expected, great baja food. If we are ever there again, we would give it a try again.
(3)

I come here at least once a week. Awesome tacos, and filling breakfast burritos. Advertised honestly as the slowest drive-thru, good food is often worth the wait. Their prices were lowered in March 2011 so now, I can get more of what I love!

On a recent visit from California, we visited Bumble Bee's because it was Fodor's Choice. What a disappointment. I order fish or shrimp tacos frequently, so I was hoping the fish tacos that Fodor recommended would redeem the tacky decor (bumble bee pinatas - are you kidding?). No such luck. They were the blandest, driest fish tacos ever. The bean and cheese burrito was edible, but not worth going out of the way. I honestly don't know what the Fodor's people were thinking.

Visited the Jefferson St. location today for a late lunch. We were appalled at the $5.99 price for a single taco with chips that they serve for free anyway. We were expecting at least rice and beans but when we only saw the taco, we expected REALLY good or a fairly large taco. What we got was a mediocre tasting small pork taco that would put any taco maker west or southwest of here to shame. The tortillas soup was a shocking $10!! This place needs a rude awakening: it is a fast food joint!! Would definitely not return.

We ordered to go, Sonoran dog (minus onions & salsa) & guacamole tortilla burger. Both were pretty good. They were generous with condiments after we asked for extras. Fun atmosphere, we definitely will visit again next time we are in Santa Fe.

The Bumble Bee's has changed a great deal! I was there 3 years ago and re-visited this restaurant in April of 2012. No more jazz on Monday nights. No more free samples of all their salsas. They now charge a decent price ofr chips and salsa! Nothing free! The quality of food has gone downhill somewhat. A new manager has been installed. All in all - this place was a disappointment. Overall, I will not go here again. There are better places serving Mexican food. My favorite "new discovery" is The Burrito Company on Washington Avenue. Just as good a menu, and cheaper. Perhaps even better yet - eat from one of the cart vendors on the Plaza! They are mostly there at noon. Enjoy!

We like this place! The food was great, it was cheap, and the salsa bar was intense. This was the first place we stopped at, when we rolled into Santa Fe, and we were glad. Both my wife and I had mahi mahi for our meat, as she had the tacos and I had the burrito bowl. The food definitely met our expectation for some good New Mexican style TexMex. For a good, cheap alternative to the places around the plaza, definitely check out Bumblebee's!

What happened to the great food, generous portions and friendly service?? I ate here today for the first time in about six months and it was really not very good. The Del Norte burrito seems to have shrunk to a shadow of its former self, was served lukewarm/.cold and was definitly waaaay more tortilla than anything else. Sad, as this was always one of my go to places. Oh well.....

If I could open a Bumble Bee's in Chicago I would because I would happily put Chipotle and Baja Fresh out of business. I have been visiting Santa Fe for the last 7 years and I never make a trip there that I don't eat at Bumble Bee's. The fact that you can get fresh grilled mahi mahi in a burrito is unheard of at those other two places. Love the salsa bar. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the food always hangs with me for hours after I eat there. Not sure why. I especially love their catering and delivery cars--yellow Mini Coopers with black stripes. Very smart branding.

Good quality but a little pricey for fast food (like everything in Sante Fe).. Definite Baja flavor . Don't expect Tex Mex.

Emma K.
A made to order but fast food type of place with a walk up counter, some self serve and open seating. The fish tacos were delicious, lots of fish and nice and juicy. The watermelon agua was very good. A nice selection of beers, and the marg was alright, large but not enough tequila. Although the marg was $5 the food generally is pricy given the dining atmosphere of a really casual restaurant.

I love this place for a quick meal. It is a place with a walk up counter. It is not what I would consider fast food, in the big box, McDonalds or Taco Bell sense. Though food is quick. My El Norte burrito was tasty, and I will get another when I go back. It had a little bit of heat, but did not seem to be made of fire like many other food places I have been to in SF.

Weak imitation of a California burrito joint. Food's okay, but you are better off going to La Choza. Short, portly rageaholic manager I met there once did not add to ambience.

Best fish tacos in Santa Fe is right! Well, okay, I haven't had fish tacos everywhere in SF, but these are damn-near the best I've had, anywhere! The salsas are delicious too - super fresh and yummy! Great food that's quick and affordable, and the staff are really friendly. You can even buy one of their bumblebee pinatas! :)

I miss Bumblebee so! Huge delicious burritos! The ingredients are fresh and the chips that come with often come warm. My only complaint is that I wish it were a tad cheaper!

I LOVE their shrimp burritos! I originally tried this place because they were one of the few "fast food" restaurants in Santa Fe that took AMEX. After that, I was hooked. Their shrimp burritos include avocado (my favorite) and a special sauce I can't find anywhere else (its so good!). Next time I'm in Santa Fe, this is the first place I'm eating at!

After road-tripping to Santa Fe, I was pleasantly surprised to find this joint 2 doors down from where I was staying. It is exactly what I wanted to eat in Santa Fe, and I ended up eating there 3 times during my stay. The tacos and burritos are fresh and delicious. I highly recommend the lamb or the shrimp. Their green chili is spicy and hearty, and when it's in chicken stew form makes a filling, sinus-clearing meal. They have a salsa bar with a wide variety of salsas from tomatillo to habanero. Be sure to check out the desserts! The coconut flan is good, but the Mexican chcolate mousse is one of the most memorably excellent desserts I've ever had. I wish I could have filled a cooler with it! If I ever return to Santa Fe I will definitely go back to the Bumble Bee.

Really good for the price- flavorful, fresh- nice portions- salsa bar is clean and appealing. One comment about the Cerrillos Rd location- there is a lot of natural light, but all of the lights are turned on as well. How about turning off the lights during the day- save money and help the planet?

What a great find! We would never have thought to check this place out while visiting Santa Fe - it looks like a Taco Bell - but a local recommended it strongly so we gave it a shot. What a surprise. The food was fresh, flavorful and absolutely not greasy. The prices are great and there are many veggie options. It definitely feels like a fast food place inside so don't expect to have a charming dinner. I just wish we had a Bumble Bee's here in DC - we'd eat there weekly.

The downtown Bumble Bee used to be our favorite taco place in town. They still make a mean fish taco, but their prices continues to rise. There is no cheap meal here. My wife and I used to split the three taco plate, but they recently added an extra charge to split a plate. What the f.....

I went here probably about a year ago. My mom and her friends love the place, but, to be honest, I wasn't all that impressed. The food was good, just not my thing. I much prefer more traditional Mexican food.

I just can't get over this place. It looks like a chain (and is fast becoming one, since it has three others stores now, one on Cerrillos Road and two in ABQ). But the food tastes really good. It might be made for gringos like me. But what can I do? I'm a gringo! I have a hard time ordering anything except the Burrito Grand Norte with lamb...
(5)

There really isn't anything great about this place. The burritos are so-so: not bad but by no means great or the best in town for the type of place. I think a lot of their food is just rushed so it doesn't come out that great, and the prices are too expensive for what you get.

fish tacos -yum! their sauce is so garlicky and good the burritos are huge! great guac veggie tacos are awesome as well their fire roasted tomato salsa (house made) is a must! always friendly servers we often do the drive thru and it's quick and painless. and giving you warm chips is so handy on the long drive home

For what it is, Bumble Bee is great. Quality eats, convenient, quick. If they have pozole available, get it. It's yummy, healthy, and so satisfying. We've used them for small parties too- get some chicken and guacamole to go- everyone loves it. The drive at the downtown location is handy. Plus, if you have your dog they will often give him a treat too.

We love this place!! It's our favorite for great New Mexico food and it's fast to boot!!! I think we eat here at least 3 times a week, okay 5 times!, but it's open for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Favorite things include green chile stew, tres tacos with steak, but try everything on the menu ! Saturday night a jazz trio entertained diners, it was so unexpected and fun. My crew all sat down and join the rest of the diners shoulder to shoulder, I thought I was someplace else instead of our Bumblebees! By the way, Bumblebee is a terrific guy. See his Bumble mini about town.

1.The food is very phenomenal! 2.The decor is great. 3.Restrooms are super cleans.4.You can see the kitchen and see the cleanliness. 5. Staff is excellent!!! All of them too. Cooks, cashier, servers! They're excellent with children. Although I give this review five stars I do have some dislikes... 1. Wish I saw full dinners on the menu. i.e. Burritos with sides or taco plates etc. 2. Single tacos a pretty expensive. (I do see that their tacos are very well prepared with great ingredients. But I still feel that paying an average of $4.38 for a single taco is quite large. Or average of $9.40 for a burrito with no side. 3. I get the whole order-sit routine, but I'd be more than happy to leave a larger tip for better table side service... 4. The menu is quite large and over whelming. Not necessarily bad though. We all love variety. Over all the experience was great! You will see me again!

Great food, tito burrito with shrimp, green chili stew, seafood stew, salads, chocolate mousse(??!?!?!? holy cow this is delicious), kids' meals. great everything but it's pricey for a 'fast food restaurant'. Nevertheless, we kept going back for more. Yum!

The green chili stew with pork was SUBLIME! The kind of dish someone's New Mexican grandmother makes....THE BEST W I would have given this restaurant a 5 star but, WHY do they charge extra for chips and salsa?

Bam Pow Bang! It's an explosion of deliciousness in my mouth! Very tasty items on the menu, and a BIG menu that you can do whatever with. You want what in your burrito?? No problem replies Bumble Bees. I went BIG this time and ordered the Bumble Bee Burrito SMOTHERED! Get it, you won't regret it...you probably won't finish it tho. It is pricey, 10 bones for the burrito but it is PACKED. Someone that we went with (he will remain unnamed) ordered an ice cream cone...only $1 hmm... The roasted tomato salsa was delish! We had a pretty big party and right when they opened up (I believe 11am so no breakfast) and they got the kitchen started and pushed out dishes pretty quickly. Happy with the service, the horchata was ok but I am an horchata snob. ha

Excellent food, love the vegan options. The vegan stew was fantastic. The green chile tortilla boca burger (no cheese for me) was very tasty. The kid ate all his tofu taco, which is high praise. Chips and salsa were great too, especially the salsa. The omnivores in our party also liked the food very much. I think the only 'weak' part were the fries which were just okay. Service is good, no waitstaff but they bus your dishes. Plenty of boosters, though the high chairs were in one of the bathrooms (if that bothers you). They were clean, and had changing tables.

"World's Slowest Drive-thru" Food and beer selection is great! Friendly staff, I WILL be back!

Once I was over $4/taco and $10 for the tortilla burger, the food was good! Double corn tortilla chicken tacos with perfect seasoning with cilantro. My daughter said the sauce really brought out the flavor. We shared sweet potato fries that were all that! The ordering was at the counter and food brought to you. They are green with cloth napkins and plastic "glasses." They have vegan, caveman, paleo, and GF. Nice place to talk and laugh. Can sit outside too. They do drive through too. If you can spare the bucks, it's worth it. Please note: there are two sides to the menu.

Santa Fe often over complicates and over charges for their food, but I think Bumblebees is where you can avoid the sting of tourist traps. I can't believe anyone would comment on the prices when you consider the location, the quality, the choices or the portions; most meals can easily feed 2 hungry adults. The food is fresh, the chili rich and a solid selection of menu items that fit almost any diet or taste. It's an easy place to be with a colorful decor and friendly, helpful counter ordering. Plus they have plenty of parking near downtown. Wow! There is outside eating and considerate dog owners and their canine friends are often found enjoying the patio. The drink selections are pretty extensive for a "drive thru" joint, so grab a sangria, Mexican Coke, Aqua Fresca or beer and check it out.

Still one of the healthiest Mexican restaurants in town. The fish tacos as well as the Green Chile Chicken Stew are our favorites. Yes, prices have increased over the last few years, but so have prices for healthy food overall. All the dishes are made fresh, the ingredients are good and the taste is amazing. Lots of options for vegetarians, gluten-free, whole wheat lovers. Plus a fun atmosphere and friendly staff. We've been coming for years and will continue to do so!

Entire Paleo section on the menu! And it's good. Duplicate menu items so make sure to say Paleo before each item ordered.

Awesome chicken! Great quick meal or take away. Everything was good fresh chips, good green, yummy shrimp, great sauces, good salad with jicama- yum. And then there's the chicken plate...so good. We had el pollo loco in San Diego and this place brought back some sweet memories of childhood there. Obviously a locals place with big burritos and a steady stream of people grabbing a chicken to go.

this little restaurant is what helps give Santa Fe the title of "City Different". When you decided you're hungry - or not - just give this place a try. The goat cheese quesadilla is amazing. i thought at first, no way.. but hey, i'll try anything once (epicurean wise).. after that i've been hooked. the salmon tacos are light with just the right amount of ingredients. The staff service? well, they communicate very well. If they're out of an product - they let you know, and offer substitutes. You don't get the "we're all out, too bad".. You might have to wait a bit for your food, but it is soo well worth it!

Morton B.
On the spendy side from what the menu looks like, the staff is great, service will accommodate all sorts of craziness, and the food came out really quick despite a complicated order. Great venue and great food, what more could one want?
(5)
Jennie B.
I always enjoy my Bumble Bee burrito, chicken, chased down with their horchata, which is so dang delicious! My only issue with this place is their wait time to get the food. Even their drive thru window has signage saying basically, that it ain't gonna be fast food! I have even ordered food over the phone to pick up in the past, and still, am waiting forever to actually receive it. If not for this one glitch, I would give this place 5 stars, easily. Just be ready to wait.
(4)
Christina J.
If you want a tasty, substantial $4 taco - which my constitution registered as nourishing - this is the place to go ! And they have vegetarian items. OTOH, we found the burritos to be a little messy and none too sensational in the taste department. Those are the only two things I've ordered there so far but I'll be going back.
(4)
Zak M.
Bumble Bees is for the most part convenient and quick. The tacos are a little pricey and a little bland for my taste (although the food does seem healthy). When I'm looking for something quick and easy and I'm not wanting to drive to burrito spot, el parasol or adelitas taqueria, i go here.
(3)
John S.
Bumble Bee has the best fish tacos in Santa Fe! They have been consistently superb for the past 6 years. Their outside terrace is nice in hot weather (not too hot weather); inside is basic, clean, tends to be loud. The green chile stew is also excellent. But the fish tacos are THE BEST. JOHN S

I would have gone 5 stars, but it just always feels overpriced even though it's totally freaking delicious. The ingredients are fresh and well prepared; flavors are awesome and zingy; tons of variety on the menu. Love that they offer whole wheat tortillas and brown rice. Truly, a wonderful burrito/taco spot and the salads are good too! But, seriously, how can my handheld burrito burrito be more than $10??? It's a freaking burrito! Also, I miss the salsa bar, which you got rid of in order to *lower* prices a couple years back... I don't really feel the savings, so you might as well just give me back my salsa bar. Don't worry, Bumblebee. I'll still eat you. I'll just resent the $3 overage I don't really think I should have to pay until the next time I have to have the Tito Burrito with shrimp or a fish taco plate, complete with a mango Jarritos. Seriously, YUM.
(4)
Josh E.
I think the onwers need to refresh their description of the food. The restaurant describes the food as being restaurant quality at half the price! I Got a quesadilla for a whopping 10.50. Taste good but not worth 10.50. Tortilla flats has a much tastier quesdilla for less!! I feel like a sucker for paying 10.50 and 4.00 for a tiny taco....

Generous portions, friendly staff. I enjoyed the Sandia (fresh watermelon drink) and the goat cheese and chicken burrito. It was enough for two meals. I would recommend the guacamole as well, very fresh.

Semi-fast and very healthy food, done well. Super friendly staff and owners. For all of those complaining about pricing, there are plenty of chain fast food places around this town. That's not what this place is, although it's very family friendly and has a ton of menu choices. Tortilla stew was great. And, our kids also had plenty to choose from. It was a nice break from all of the packed Spring Break finer dining in and around the plaza area. They also have a drive through. We'll visit again on our next trip to SF.

After swimming at the Santa Fe municipal pool every evening, I try to resist stopping here for dinner and consuming more calories than I just burned off. However, RESISTANCE IS FUTILE. The lure of the Bumble Bee burrito is too strong. These burritos are delicious. I usually get the lamb burrito with green chile, black beans, and sour cream. They have a wide variety of other dishes, including rotisserie chickens. Their gazpacho is also good. They also have beer, including my favorite, Negra Modelo. There is patio where you can sit and watch the sun set while enjoying your beer and food. One word review: Addictive.

I was introduced to this place a few weeks ago as I am moving to Santa Fe from California. It's funny to experience people tear into a place for simple business practices that they have no idea what they are talking about. This place rocks! The food is creative and simply delicious, oh yeah, and its fast food! Where do you get that in this god forsaken country? Rip a business because they don't give you free chips and salsa? Prices are definitely reasonable any way you shake it. The lamb burrito with green chili is exquisite, do it with chicken and it still gets 5 stars. You can tell that everything is prepared on the premises as opposed to the huge commissaries that prepare for all of Bumble Bee's competition. I would suggest raising all the prices by three bucks, add the chips and salsa back and become iconic! Regardless I think you guys are on the path, wanna franchise? Keepin it real, keepin it authentic and most of all Bumble Bee's is keepin it delicious!

The lamb and pork green chili stews were great, as was the chicken tortilla stew. But the caesar salad was nothing but lettuce, corn chips and a very fishy dressing for $8! Overall the food was good, but way too expensive for a fast food place. We spent $70 for dinner for four. For that kind of money I expect a waiter and full service.

Horrible! I supported this restaurant when it first opened its doors and I will not being going back. The last few times the quality of the food was not as fresh and the prices keep going up. I ordered a burrito in the drive thru and waited 20 minutes for it. The car in front of me pulled over and walked in because they didn't know what was taking so long. My food was not what I ordered and when I called the restaurant, I asked to speak with the manager which happened to be the owner. He offered no solutions and basically had no interest in my concerns. I'm sad to say that I have other choices and this restaurant no longer has my support. It is in decline.

Bumblebee's is so good- anyone giving less than 4 stars is stingy and don't understand anything about New Mexico (i.e. disappointment at chile being green or red? If you've eaten ANYWHERE in NM, you'll understand how this works. Sorry, but that is a n00b mistake). Yes, I agree that Bumblebee's is going against NM tradition of free chips and salsa the minute you sit down at a table, but you also have to order and pay at the counter first like any fast food place. Usually, the chips and salsa is free in places where you pay the bill at the end, and lots of places charge $2.50-$4 for the same amount for the second round of chips. However, the food. The burritos are so flavorful, fresh, and well-balanced. Kudos and extra points for providing vegan options, as well as brown rice and whole wheat tortilas. Now that's awesome for a fast food restaurant. Our faves are the Del Norte (so comforting, full of sour cream, rich, fatty and veggie delicious) and the Burrito De Tomas. I don't usually like asparagus, but they cooked it so perfectly that it fresh, slightly crunchy, and flavorful. It went really well with the other ingredients in the burrito. Also awesome- fish tacos. I had 2 fish tacos with black beans ($1 extra) and was totally stuffed. Also! They give you birthday treat (free burrito!) and free taco if you sign up for their mailing list. On top of this, they give you $5 credit when you spend over 8 x $5 (or something like that). The managers are so friendly and know how to be great to customers, even annoying regulars like me. Want to go back!! (Great for vegetarians and vegans!)

I had the fish tacos they were great. They claim they have famous fish tacos and they definitely lived up to that reputation. My boyfriend had a chicken burrito and said it was amazing. The food was very inexpensive, only $14 total.

I'm not entirely sure but..you might be in for a Mexican burrito rather than a New Mexican burrito. Oh, the difference is subtle, I assure you. I ordered the "Bumble Bee Burrito" which had two kinds of cheese, guac, and that amazing juicy and tender chicken people holler all about. I'm not sure I can tell you the difference other than: 1. my whole wheat tortilla was toasted and crispy to perfection in a way that I've never experienced outside of "Little Mexico" AKA The Mission in San Francisco 2. my green chili stew (I'd ordered green on the side) had some "different" spices in it My piping hot, cheesy, creamy, crunchy burrito was 9 bucks ($1 tip for the helpful cashier) and worth every dollar. They are nice here. They listen to you. And they give you what your soul should be eating, even if you don't think you can afford it. Splurge once in a while and support this local business which boasts organic, free-range options and is really just plain delicious. While you're at it, get a Jarritos or a Mexican coke. You won't have regrets. Look at the bee piñata!

It's a bit expensive, but the burritos are quick and delicious soooooo it's worth the price! They have a very convenient drive through which makes it easy to order!

When it first opened, Bumblebees was our family go-to place for lunch in Santa Fe. Food was great. The menu was innovative. And prices were low. We just returned this week after a few years away, and I have to say, it was ... well ... meh. The only thing that had significantly changed on the menu were the prices (they've gone up) -- the innovation seems to have stopped years ago. The chicken in their signature chicken/goat cheese burrito tasted as if it had no seasoning whatsoever. Etc. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. The goat cheese squash quesadilla was still quite tasty, even if it had a bit too much cheese on it. So I give that 4 stars. And service is good. I probably should have ordered a fish taco, but didn't. So I'll still go back to give it a try, and to give Bumblebees another chance.

The lamb burrito was delicious, and so was the roasted chicken. I've eaten here a bunch of times with different choices and they've all been great. Haven't had nearly enough different things (big menu), so that's the only hesitation with giving 5 stars.

I love Bumble Bee's, but more importantly my 3 year old son does! This is the place to go if you want a healthy, yet delicious meal in Santa Fe! As a single mother, the drive through is heaven sent. Sometimes I am so busy and making a quick drive to Bumblebee's and going through the drive through takes a lot of stress off of me and I feel good because the food is fresh and healthy for my son. It does take longer than most drive throughs, but that is because the food is cooked to order and fresh! They offer a kid's menu and my son loves every item on it. This is the only drive through restaurant in Santa Fe that is healthy with local and organic foods. I would rather pay a little more and know that I am getting organic and fresh foods. You get what you pay for. I am impressed with the new menu at the downtown location as well. They even have SHAKES now! Dago is the manager and he is a total sweetheart! He has the best smile!

I have to say, I was a bit disappointed after hearing a lot of good things about the place from my friends. I ordered a burrito and iced tea. The burrito was kind of dry on the outside, no sauce, not very big, lukewarm, and goopy-mushy on the inside. The iced tea hardly had any tea in it...looked like rusty water. And although the restaurant interior looks like a cheap Mexican cantina, the food, ordered at the counter, is anything but cheap. There are many better options in Santa Fe.

I went here for dinner last night (6/3/12) with 4 other people. I had a bacon cheeseburger (plain) with fries and a lemonade, my brother had a burrito, and the two other people shared cheese fries. This place is decent, I liked it. The lemonade was very tasty. Between the four of us, it only cost 30 dollars. My friends were disappointed that the chili offered was not meat chili but rather green or red. Overall, I'd come here again. It's not going to go down in my books as amazing, but it's convenient and good when I visit Santa Fe.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

(3)SS K.

(4)Kt M.
We're from California and liked this place a lot! Great veggie burritos-- try the Tito with avo, basil and cabbage and the Tomas with asparagus avo and cheese. Que bueno! I didn't try the meat but they have a lamb option that sounds divine.
(4)Clare M.
(3)Maria R.
(4)Rennie C.
Go there.
(4)Peter V.
mmm.....who needs anything else? And we love that jazz!
(4)Courtney S.
(4)Patty P.
Very good, friendly service. Lots of variety. Vegetarian and gluten free options. Nice bathrooms.
(4)josh b.
kinda pricey, but really good!
(4)Ryan T.
(3)Sam A.
Woah, $12 for a bean and rice burrito with pico de gallo and a large Iced Tea? No really, you're kidding me!?!? See If I ever go HERE again.
(1)Priscilla R.
(3)Katie T.
I come here at least once a week. Awesome tacos, and filling breakfast burritos. Advertised honestly as the slowest drive-thru, good food is often worth the wait. Their prices were lowered in March 2011 so now, I can get more of what I love!
(4)Sharon M.
(1)Alex D.
(2)Dean W.
We ordered to go, Sonoran dog (minus onions & salsa) & guacamole tortilla burger. Both were pretty good. They were generous with condiments after we asked for extras. Fun atmosphere, we definitely will visit again next time we are in Santa Fe.
(4)Doug S.
Enjoy!
(2)Patrick C.
Great place. Best was their melon drink.
(5)J R.
(4)Karen S.
(1)Jen M.
(4)Steve S.
Good quality but a little pricey for fast food (like everything in Sante Fe).. Definite Baja flavor . Don't expect Tex Mex.
(3)Emma K.
(3)John H.
(4)Pedro A.
5/19 For the third time in a row I just had lunch at BBs and immediate diarrhea. Guys, REFRIGERATE PROPERLY!
(1)Mark H.
Weak imitation of a California burrito joint. Food's okay, but you are better off going to La Choza. Short, portly rageaholic manager I met there once did not add to ambience.
(3)Deborah A.
(4)Suzanne C.
I miss Bumblebee so! Huge delicious burritos! The ingredients are fresh and the chips that come with often come warm. My only complaint is that I wish it were a tad cheaper!
(4)Nicole H.
(4)Jenny K.
(5)Yap F.
Really good for the price- flavorful, fresh- nice portions- salsa bar is clean and appealing. One comment about the Cerrillos Rd location- there is a lot of natural light, but all of the lights are turned on as well. How about turning off the lights during the day- save money and help the planet?
(3)misty h.
(4)Bob W.
The downtown Bumble Bee used to be our favorite taco place in town. They still make a mean fish taco, but their prices continues to rise. There is no cheap meal here. My wife and I used to split the three taco plate, but they recently added an extra charge to split a plate. What the f.....
(2)Josh O.
I went here probably about a year ago. My mom and her friends love the place, but, to be honest, I wasn't all that impressed. The food was good, just not my thing. I much prefer more traditional Mexican food.
(3)Stewart A.
(5)David D.
There really isn't anything great about this place. The burritos are so-so: not bad but by no means great or the best in town for the type of place. I think a lot of their food is just rushed so it doesn't come out that great, and the prices are too expensive for what you get.
(2)Maura P.
fish tacos -yum! their sauce is so garlicky and good the burritos are huge! great guac veggie tacos are awesome as well their fire roasted tomato salsa (house made) is a must! always friendly servers we often do the drive thru and it's quick and painless. and giving you warm chips is so handy on the long drive home
(5)greg r.
i still dream of their fish tacos.
(5)Joe O.
(5)va d.
(5)Bobby S.
(5)A V.
Great food, tito burrito with shrimp, green chili stew, seafood stew, salads, chocolate mousse(??!?!?!? holy cow this is delicious), kids' meals. great everything but it's pricey for a 'fast food restaurant'. Nevertheless, we kept going back for more. Yum!
(5)Wendy C.
The green chili stew with pork was SUBLIME! The kind of dish someone's New Mexican grandmother makes....THE BEST W I would have given this restaurant a 5 star but, WHY do they charge extra for chips and salsa?

My extended family of nine had a great lunch here. My Salmon Tostada tasted very fresh and had lots of flavor. There is definitely a fun vibe here.

(5)Mytch P.
They have a few good vegan options. The vegan posole was outstanding!!!
(4)R Ashley C.

We have enjoyed Bumblebee's since this first one opened about ten years ago. Mexicano burrito or the Del Norte are our favorites. In fact, I'm going to order right now!

this little restaurant is what helps give Santa Fe the title of "City Different".

On the spendy side from what the menu looks like, the staff is great, service will accommodate all sorts of craziness, and the food came out really quick despite a complicated order. Great venue and great food, what more could one want?
(5)Jennie B.
(4)Christina J.
(4)Zak M.
Bumble Bees is for the most part convenient and quick. The tacos are a little pricey and a little bland for my taste (although the food does seem healthy). When I'm looking for something quick and easy and I'm not wanting to drive to burrito spot, el parasol or adelitas taqueria, i go here.

(4)Josh E.

(5)Kim N.
